Coco, Here's my question suggestion:
I have a question about the Moffat Collection System Water Project. As you probably know by now, the United States Environmental Protection Agency is very critical of the negative impact this water project would have on the Fraser and Colorado river ecosystems, and very critical of the inadequate and misleading Draft Environmental Impact Statement prepared for this project by the Army Corps of Engineers. Also, you probably know by now that the true purpose of this project is to supply water to the City of Arvada to support the huge and outrageous Candelas development and the accompanying Northwest Toll Road, both of which would have a devastating impact on the quality of life for us Coloradans living along the Northern Front Range and in the Upper Colorado River Basin. And you probably know by now that some are charging that the Denver Board of Water Commissioners, some of whom may have been appointed by you, acted illegally by undertaking a water project that has no use or benefit for the City and County of Denver or the suburbs in its Consolidated Service Area. Now that you are the Governor of all of Colorado, and responsible for the well being of all Coloradans and the incredible natural beauty and resources of this state, what can you do to protect us from the Candelas and toll road profiteers and make sure this water project is stopped?
Was good talking to you this afternoon. I'm looking forward to hearing about your meeting with the Governor.
